TRISPORT was initially a developer and manufacturer of supplements, the capsules as we know them. Vitamins, antioxidants, formulas that help with stress management, iron supplements, and so on.

Over time, there was a demand to also develop nutrition, and thus TRISPORT was the first to bring the RATIO 2:1 product line to market. You can find this in most products in our nutrition line. Our products are made according to the needs of the athlete, not what market trends indicate. Hence our slogan “Essential sports nutrition"

All the capsules we use for our supplements are VEGAN CAPS and therefore suitable for vegans. Our range of food products is also suitable for vegans, even the RECUP-SHAKE, which uses plant-based protein. 

Only the RECUPRO is not vegan because it contains animal-derived Whey Hydrolysate. 

The best-before date represents the date until which a product can be consumed without noticeable or essential changes in taste or quality, or any risk to health. It should be read as “best before”. This is in contrast to foodstuffs which always state “use by”.

Since it is therefore a best-before date and not an expiry date, it is quite possible that the product is still suitable for consumption after the stated date. All that can happen is that certain substances have partially lost their effectiveness. This applies especially to the ingredients in multivitamins and proteins. Sugars lose their effectiveness to a lesser extent or not at all.

Yes! all our products are gluten-free

First of all, it is important to know how long you are going to exercise. The duration of the exercise partly determines how many carbohydrates you should replenish per hour. To make it easier, you can follow the following rules during exercise to properly manage your carbohydrate intake:

• < 1 hour of exercise: Nothing or only small amounts of carbohydrates.
• >1 - 2 hours: 30 - 60 grams of carbohydrates per hour.
• >2 - 3 hours: 60 - 90 grams of carbohydrates per hour, preferably in a 2:1 carbohydrate ratio.
• >2.5 hours: Up to 90 grams of carbohydrates per hour, in a 2:1 carbohydrate ratio.

Sugars are the best and most efficient form of carbohydrates. Our products contain the following amounts of sugar:

• 1 500cc Energy Drink bottle (4 scoops) 70 g sugar
• 1 750cc Energy Drink bottle (6 scoops) 100 g sugar
• 1 500cc Hydra-Max bottle (2 scoops) 35 g sugar
• 1 750cc Hydra-Max bottle (3 scoops) 50 g sugar
• 1 Energy Gel 25 g sugar
• 1 Energy Bar 21.5 g sugar
• 1 Fruit Bar 20 g sugar

This way, you can quickly calculate how much energy the products provide that fit within your comfort zone.
Theory is one thing, but your comfort zone may be even more important. Create a mix of products that you feel good with and perform well on.

It is very difficult to provide a suitable answer to this. People with diabetes also need sugars to exercise, but in a different way than people without diabetes. Because insulin release works differently, we advise people with diabetes to always use the products under the guidance of a sports doctor.

On the product pages and packaging, you will always find detailed nutritional information and ingredient lists, so that you can make an informed choice together with your doctor.

We have products that have been developed with an eye towards expectant mothers. For example, FERROSIR contains FOLIC ACID. (better known as Vitamin B11. It is essential for the baby's early development and reduces the risk of birth defects. Folic acid supports the mother's tissue growth during pregnancy (such as the uterus and the placenta) and is crucial for the growth of the fetus.

In the very first weeks of pregnancy (between days 22 and 28), the foundation for your baby's brain and spinal cord is formed. Folic acid demonstrably helps with the proper closure of this neural tube, which greatly reduces the risk of serious defects—such as spina bifida or an open skull.

Although some products may fit perfectly within a balanced diet, other ingredients such as caffeine or specific active components may require extra attention during pregnancy. The health and safety of mother and child always come first. Professional advice is therefore essential before using sports nutrition or supplements during this period.

All TRISPORT products were primarily developed for adult athletes. The recommended daily dosages are specifically tailored to their needs. Young people aged 16 and over may also consider using certain TRISPORT products. Which products are suitable and how often they can be used depends on training intensity, the performance level being pursued, and the body's needs. We strongly recommend always discussing the use of sports nutrition or supplements in young people with a professional coach or sports doctor. They can help assess what support is sensible and responsible within a balanced nutrition and training plan. For children under the age of 16, we advise against the use of products containing caffeine. A balanced and varied basic diet always remains the most important thing for healthy growth and sports performance at a young age.
